Are you looking forward to the best Christmas ever, full of fun, smiles and laughter? Then this Christmas will be redder than ever.
This morning the first official trailer was revealed Terrifier 3which takes us back to the slasher world of the franchise Terrifier from the screenwriter and director Damien Leone.
The new sequel features the return of David Howard Thornton like Art the Clown and the one from Lauren LaVera as the “final girl” Sienna, now in a December and bloody setting, since the third installment, It's a Christmas horror movie.
In Terrifier 3Art the Clown will unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of quiet Miles County as they peacefully fall asleep on Christmas Eve.
And when we say chaos, we don't use the word timidly. Leone has set out to make this new sequel increase gore and brutality. Previously the filmmaker revealed having filmed “one of the most incredibly horrifying scenes in the Terrifier franchise”. To then warn us that: “This is definitely the bloodiest entry in the franchise.”
And we definitely get to witness the gore in this first trailer, which sees Art attack a couple in the shower with a chainsaw, and go on a killing spree dressed as Santa Claus.
In addition to the trailer found at the end of this article, the outlet debuted the official synopsis:
SYNOPSIS:
“After surviving Art the Clown’s Halloween massacre, Sienna and her brother struggle to rebuild their shattered lives. As the holiday season approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind. But just when they think they’re safe, Art the Clown returns, determined to turn their holiday cheer into a new nightmare.
“The holiday season quickly unravels when Art unleashes his twisted brand of terror, proving that no holiday is safe.”
Other returns to the cast are Samantha Scaffidi, Elliot Fullamand AEW superstar, Chris Jericho. Additionally, Daniel Roebuck give life to Santa Claus.
Recently, Thornton said that Terrifier 3 has one of the most difficult scenes to film, which even caused him physical reactions. The actor said that, “There is one thing in particular that I find difficult to digest. I don’t want to say what it was, but I almost threw up.” Another of the sequences, “It will be very controversial. People will be shocked by the depravity we showed in that scene..”
The project was officially launched in May 2023, with the return of Leone and the producer. Phil Falcone.
The “trequela” obtained a budget in the low-mid seven-figure range, a significant increase compared to Terrifier with a budget of $55,000 usd, and the sequel Terrifier 2which was made with an approximate budget of $250,000 USD, and had a box office of more than USD $15 million worldwide.
Falcone, Steven Della Salla, Jason Leavy and Michael Leavy are the producers. Dark Age Cinema is the producing company.
Terrifier 3 will have its world premiere on Thursday, September 19, 2024, on the stage of the Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, during the opening night of the film festival.
Later, On October 11, 2024, it will be released Terrifier 3 in cinemas from the United States and Canada, courtesy of CineVerse, Bloody Disgusting and Iconic Events Releasing.
