Art the Clown terrorizes in sneak peek at slasher 'Terrifier 3'

Ready for more gore?

In a couple of months we will be returning to the slasher world of the horror franchise Terrifier from the screenwriter and director Damien Leonewith the theatrical release of Terrifier 3.

The new sequel features the return of David Howard Thornton like Art the Clow and the one from Lauren LaVera as the “final girl” Sienna, now in a bloody December setting, because the third installment, in case you missed it before, It's a Christmas horror movie.

In Terrifier 3Art the Clown will unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of quiet Miles County as they peacefully fall asleep on Christmas Eve.

And when we say chaos, we don't use the word timidly. Leone has set out to make this new sequel increase gore and brutality. Previously the filmmaker revealed having filmed “one of the most incredibly horrifying scenes in the Terrifier franchise”. To then warn us that: “This is definitely the bloodiest entry in the franchise.”

These statements are now accompanied by what Thornton tells Empire was one of the most difficult scenes to film. So difficult that she had physical reactions to it:

“There’s one thing in particular that I find hard to digest. I don’t want to say what it was, but I almost threw up. Of course, everyone thought it was funny that I had that reaction. Like, ‘Oh, we finally caught him! ’”

According to Thornton, there is a sequence in the third installment that “It will be very controversial. People will be shocked by the depravity we showed in that scene.”

The project was officially launched in May 2023, with the return of Leone and the producer. Phil Falcone.

Other returns to the cast are Samantha Scaffidi, Elliot Fullamand AEW superstar, Chris Jericho. Additionally, Daniel Roebuck joined in to bring Santa Claus to life.

The “trequela” obtained a budget in the low-mid seven-figure range, a significant increase compared to Terrifier with a budget of $55,000 usd, and the sequel Terrifier 2which was made with an approximate budget of $250,000 USD, and had a box office of more than USD $15 million worldwide.

Falcone, Steven Della Salla, Jason Leavy and Michael Leavy are the producers. Dark Age Cinema is the producing company.

Terrifier 3 will have its world premiere on Thursday, September 19, 2024, on the stage of the Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, during the opening night of the film festival.

Later, On October 11, 2024, it will be released Terrifier 3 in cinemas from the United States and Canada, courtesy of CineVerse, Bloody Disgusting and Iconic Events Releasing.
