First medals of the day
Speed canoeing was the first modality that brought medals to Brazil this Wednesday (20). Mateus Nunes, began the day with the silver medal at C1 1000m, with a mark of 4m23s98, behind only Aramis Sanches. Lorrane Santos was a bronze medalist at C1 200m, with a time of 50s67, behind Yisnoly Lopez, from Cuba, and Élizabeth Discosiers of Canada. Canoeing tests last until this Saturday (23).
Silver in Gymnastics
The female national team of artistic gymnastics debuted at Pan Junior with the silver medal by teams. Isabel Aguilar, Francine Oliveira, Sophia Carvalho and Kauany Vitória secured 145,850 points in the sum of the four devices (solo, jump, post and asymmetrical bars), and were in second place, behind only the United States, which added 152,300 points. Canada, with the bronze medal, completed the podium.
