AtticOmatic «Lewin» – I discovered this quintet from Brighton for the first time a few months ago, but they have been around since 2022. Their music lies somewhere between dream pop, post-rock and indie, but their new single “Lewin” in particular shows them from a more experimental side, as the song contains some unexpected digressions, which I am of course definitely up for these days.
ariel makes gloomy «slowmotion» / «lostway» – Speaking of DreamPop, let’s stay in this channel and move over to Japan, where Shoegaze & Co. are also quite popular. As you can see in this wonderful song by the band Ariel Makes Gloomy. The song is from 2017, and the last time the band sent a sign of life was in 2021, so it's safe to assume they're no longer around. Unfortunately I can't include “slowmotion” here (but you can find it on YouTube HERE), instead there is another track that sounds less like shoegaze.
