Netflix revealed this morning the official trailer for the action comedy Back in Actionstarring Cameron Diaz y Jamie Foxx.

Diaz and Foxx play Emily and Matt, a pair of former spies who abandon their careers at the CIA to start a family together, until their cover is blown, forcing them to return to the world of espionage.

The trailer shows Díaz enjoying the new excitement as he admits: “For the first time in a long time, I felt alive again. I felt like the bitch again.” Foxx learns that spy work still comes easy to him: “Just like old times, darling. “Just like old times.”

Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief) directs the feature film with a script co-written with Brendan O’Brien (Neighbors, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates).

The rest of the cast is made up Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Kyle Chandler, McKenna Roberts, Rylan Jackson y Jamie Demetriou.

Diaz cited Foxx as the main reason for coming out of retirement, when Back in Action was announced for the first time.

Back in Action marks Diaz's first film since Annie (2014), where he also shared the screen with Foxx. Both actors also co-starred Any Given Sunday (1999).

Gordon, Beau Bauman, Peter Chernin, Sharla Sumpter Bridgett, and Jeno Topping are producers, with Foxx, O'Brien, Tim Lewis, and Datari Turner serving as executive producers.

The titled Back to action in our market, it will be released on Netflix on January 17, 2025.
