3 ripe bananas
2 cups of wheat flour
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
2 eggs
1 teaspoon powdered yeast
1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder (optional)
Pinch of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Unite a form of cake with butter and sprinkle with wheat flour. - In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until you get a paste-like consistency.
- Add the melted butter and mix well.
- Add the sugar and eggs to the banana mixture and stir until you get a homogeneous mass.
- In another bowl, sift the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon (if using), and salt.
Mix dry ingredients. - Add the dry ingredient mixture to the bowl with the banana paste and stir gently until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Avoid mixing too much so as not to make the cake heavy. - Pour the dough into the prepared mold and level the surface with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before unmolding.
- Once cold, you can sprinkle icing sugar on top to decorate if desired.
