Blumhouse y Universal Pictures They are in the process of producing Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, sequel of Five Nights at Freddy’sadaptation of the popular video game created by Scott Cawthon.
It was precisely Cawthon who, in a sneak peak behind the scenes published on X/Twitter to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the launch of the original video game, revealed the first look at Toy Bonnie as a work in progress as this is not the final look. Just like in the first film, Jim Henson’s Creature Shop is in charge of designing the animatronics.

Emma Tammi (The Wind) is returning to direct the sequel. The first installment opened in theaters in October 2023 and broke a number of records, including becoming the highest-grossing film in Blumhouse history at the global box office.
“Five Nights at Freddy's follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. As he spends his first night on the job, he realizes that the night shift won't be so easy to get through. The goal is to Try to survive five nights as a night security guard at the aforementioned pizzeria, and avoid getting caught by any of the animatronics from the establishment that come to life in a place very similar to Chuck E. Cheese. Can you survive in Five Nights at Freddy's?
Cawthon worked on the development of the film adaptation as a producer, and co-writer alongside Tammi and Seth Cuddeback. Blumhouse of Jason Blum acquired the rights in 2015, and officially launched the project in February 2018.
The main cast was made up of Josh Hutcherson as security guard Mike Schmidt, Matthew Lillard (Scream, Scooby Doo) como Steve Raglan, Elizabeth Lail (You, Countdown) as police officer Vanessa, Mary Stuart Masterson (Some Kind of Wonderful, Daniel Isn’t Real) as the villain, Piper Rubio (How We Roll) as Abby, Mike Schmidt's little sister, and Kat Conner Sterling (The Gifted, 9-1-1, The Resident) as Max.
No other details, including plot or cast, have been revealed so far, but the first film provided some clear hints as to where things might go next.
FNAF 2 It will be released in theaters on December 5, 2025.
