After the highlight concert with William Basinski last year, the Bello-echo crew will again bring an international size to Leipzig in 2025-to an extra special location. And we are back as a media partner.
The Bells-Echo series remains one of the most exciting and important rows for ambient and experimental concerts in special Leipzig locations. After the Battle monument and several churches, Bell's Echo on April 26, 2025 will now also stop in the Thomaskirche. Wow, but also very conclusive.
This special occasion does not come to anyone, but Kali Malone. Born in the US musician, she has been living in Sweden for several years and will give her Leipzig premiere that evening. In the past seven years, the musician and trained organ stimmer with very minimalist, electro-acoustic and contemplative-saxon pieces on the organ, electronics and choirs have caused a lot to be listened to. Her albums “The Sacrificial Code” and “All Life Long” in particular brought her numerous enthusiastic reviews.
The visit to Leipzig should also be a highlight for Kalo Malone – after all, it will be at the place of work of Johann Sebastian Bach and live on the Wilhelm Sauer's organ there live a work show of the two albums mentioned above. This evening she also received support from four-handed organ compositions from Stephen O'malley, founding member of the legendary drone thunder band Sunn o))) and since 2023 husband of Kali Malone.
