1 cup of sugar
1 cup cornstarch
1 cup of wheat flour
3 eggs
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)
Butter and flour to grease the pan
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a cake pan with butter and sprinkle flour to prevent the cake from sticking.
- In a large bowl, mix the sugar, cornstarch and wheat flour.
- Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract to the dry ingredient mixture. Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
- Add the baking powder to the dough and mix gently until it is well incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before unmolding. Then let it cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
