The screenwriter and director Bryan Bertino The horror project is underway Vicious for the study Paramount Pictures.
The most recent news reveals that the studio has once again modified the theatrical release of Vicious. Originally scheduled for August 8, 2025, before being brought forward to February 28, 2025, to now be left without a release dateas Paramount is looking for a better release date for Bertino's film (via Deadline).
The film stars Dakota Fanning (The Watchers, Ripley) playing a young woman who is left a strange gift by a nocturnal visitor and quickly realizes that she is fighting for her life after sliding down a disturbing rabbit hole contained within the gift.
Fanning is joined in the cast by Kathryn Hunter (Poor Things), Mary McCormack (Heels, Unpregnant), Rachel Blanchard (The Summer I Turned Pretty) y Nine Never (Scream VI).
Bertino wrote the script and will direct the feature film.
Bertino had a great debut as a feature film writer and director, with the horror hit The Strangers (2008). He later made Mockingbird (2014), The Monster (2016) from A24, and The Dark and the Wicked (2020).
Atlas Entertainment y Richard Suckle (American Hustle, Wonder Woman) are the producers. Melinda Whitaker is the executive producer.
