French magazine Cinema Teaser revealed the cover of its latest issue, showing a new look at Alien: Romulusthe new installment of the saga Aliendirected and co-written by Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead).

The most recent image shows Rain Carradine, the character played by the protagonist Cailee Spaeny (Civil War, Priscilla, Devs), dear to dear with a spectacular Xenomorph.

The cover was created by illustrator and designer Simon Delart. The AVPgalaxy media used Photoshop tools to remove the text and give us a clean look at the commented image, and that is the version we share with you at the end of this article.

Alien: Romulus It is the seventh installment of the 20th Century Studios franchise, or the ninth installment if we take into account the crossovers. Alien vs Predator.

This new project is described as “an original independent feature film”. The plot is set between the timeline of Alien (1979) of Ridley Scott, and the sequel Aliens (1986) of James Cameron.

An important fact about this new film is that unlike the other films that focused on adults in corporate, military and scientific roles, this ninth installment of the franchise will focus on a group of young people.

SYNOPSIS:

“In this ninth entry in the immensely popular and enduring film series, a group of young people on a distant world find themselves in a confrontation with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

The cast is headed by Isabela Merced (Instant Family, Dora and the Lost City of Gold) like Kay, Archie Renaux (Upgraded, The Other Zoey) like Tyler, David Johnson (Industry) like Andy, Spike Fearn (Aftersun), y Aileen Wu.

Alvarez co-wrote the script with his frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (remake Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe, Don’t Breathe 2remake Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and produced the feature film in company of Ridley Scottdirector of the original classic and the prequels Prometheus y Alien: Covenant.

The original classic Alien Ridley Scott's 1979 film ended with a shot of protagonist Sigourney Weaver ejecting a Xenomorph from its escape pod before being put into a cryogenic sleep that would return her to human civilization. The sequel, Aliens Cameron's 1986 film picked up the plot years later, as Ripley accompanied a military mission investigating a possible Xenomorph attack on a remote space colony.

Alien: Romulus It will be released in theaters on August 16, 2024 via 20th Century Studios. It will be the first installment of the saga Alien to be distributed by Disney.
