Ingredients

  • 200g semi-sweet (or milk) chocolate, chopped

  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

Directions

  • In a bowl, place the chopped chocolate and set aside.
  • In a pan, heat the cream over medium heat until it starts to boil.
  • Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate. 
    Let sit for a minute to allow the heat from the cream to melt the chocolate.
  • Stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Add the butter to the chocolate mixture and stir until the butter is completely melted.
  • Let the frosting cool slightly before applying to the cake. 
    If it is too liquid, let it cool a little more until it reaches the desired consistency.
  • Pour the frosting over the cake, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
