In addition to launching the official teaser trailer for the second season of The Last of Us of HBOthe streamer Max revealed three posters.
The new season of the acclaimed series based on Naughty Dog's popular horror video game, premieres on HBO and Max in 2025.
The posters focus on Pedro Pascal like Joel, Bella Ramsey like Ellie, and Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart) who joins this season playing Abby.
If you pay attention to the details of these posters, you can find clear clues of the tragedies to come.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS SECOND SEASON:
“After five years of peace following the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie's collective past catches up with them, leading them into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.”
The rest of the cast is made up Gabriel Luna like Tommy, Young Mazino (Beef) as Jesse, Isabela Merced (Alien: Romulus) like Dina, Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Spencer Lord (Riverdale), Ariella Barer (How to Blow Up a Pipeline), Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick), Catherine O’Hara (Home Alone, Schitt’s Creek, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice), and the return of Jeffrey Wright playing another role, that of Isaac, the character to whom Wright lent his voice in the video game The Last of Us Part II.
Craig Mazin y Neil Druckmann are the co-creators, executive producers, showrunners and directors of The Last of Us.
The second season will consist of seven episodes, two less than season one. One of the episodes will be full-length. There are plans for a potential third season to be significantly longer.
The second season adapts the video game sequel The Last of Us Part IIand it is not expected that all events in the game will be limited to a single season, since the extensive story of multiple characters in the sequel meant that it would cover at least two – or more – seasons.
