Ingredients
2 cups of sugar
1 and 3/4 cups wheat flour
3/4 cups cocoa powder
1 and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon powdered yeast
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of milk
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup of hot water
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin with butter and flour.
- In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
- Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix well.
- Add the hot water to the mixture and mix again until the dough is homogeneous.
- Pour the dough into the greased tin and bake for about 35 to 40 minutes or until the cake is baked (do the toothpick test).
- Let cool slightly before serving.
