Ingredients
4 tablespoons of wheat flour
4 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons of milk
3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 tablespoon chopped semisweet chocolate (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped walnuts or chestnuts (optional)
Directions
- Choose a mug large enough to prevent the dough from boiling over while baking.
- Brush the inside of the mug with a little oil or butter to prevent the cake from sticking.
- In a small bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder and salt.
- Add milk, vegetable oil and vanilla essence to the dry mixture. Stir well until you obtain a homogeneous mass.
- If using chopped semisweet chocolate, add to the batter and stir to distribute evenly.
- Add the chopped walnuts or chestnuts to the dough and mix.
- Place the mug in the microwave and bake on high for approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes. The time may vary depending on the power of your microwave. Keep an eye on it to prevent the cake from overflowing.
- Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake; If it comes out clean, the cake is ready. Otherwise, continue cooking in 10 second increments until done.
- Let the cake cool for a few minutes before eating. It will be extremely hot right after it comes out of the microwave.
- If desired, you can sprinkle powdered sugar, add a scoop of ice cream, or decorate with whipped cream.
