Christin Nichols «Today I Chose Violence» / «Bielefeld» – It doesn’t happen that often that I can introduce an artist from near Bielefeld (but now living in Berlin). A young lady at that who has just put out a wonderful album that is a prime contender for a top spot on my 2022 charts. The music reminds me a bit of Sofia Portanet – a mix of Wave, PostPunk and even some Pop, with a bit of an abysmal vibe. Very nice!
Hatchie «Quicksand» – I’ve featured the Australian band Hatchie in the blog again and again over the past few years, and this time with the new single, which will soon be followed by a new album. The sound has become a bit more electronic, but still with strong early 90s touches.
