Cookie Pavé will be delicious with the ingredients below and following the preparation instructions.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of cornstarch cookies

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 2 cans of milk (use the can of condensed milk as a measure)

  • 3 egg yolks

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

  • 200g milk or semi-sweet chocolate (optional, for decoration)

  • Crushed cookies to decorate

Directions

  • In a pan, mix the condensed milk, previously sifted egg yolks, cornstarch and cans of milk. 
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until you get a consistent cream. 
    This will be the base of the cream that will go between the cookie layers.
  • Remove from heat and add vanilla essence, mixing well. 
    Let cool.
  • In a dish, make a layer of cornstarch biscuits at the bottom.
  • Cover the cookies with a layer of the prepared cream.
  • Continue alternating layers of cookies and cream until you end up with a layer of cream on top.
  • If desired, melt the milk or semi-sweet chocolate and spread over the last layer of cream.
  • Decorate with crushed cookies on top.
  • Refrigerate for a few hours or until the pavé is very firm.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy!
