The final trailer for Deadpool & Wolverineshared this morning by Marvel Studios, revealed the surprise cameo of Dafne Keenreprising her role as Laura/X-23 from Logan (2017) Keen first played the role at age 11, and reprised it at age 19.
How did he manage to keep his return a secret?, Keen tells EW that all the credit for his inspiration goes to Andrew Garfieldan actor who hid his reappearance as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021):
“I had a great time keeping it a secret. I had to do a lot of press for a job I just finished,” Keen says, referring to her role as Jedi Jecki in The Acolyte. “I was asked questions in every interview and I just had to lie, which was really fun.”
“All the inspiration comes from Andrew Garfield. He is the master at this.”.
The outlet recalls that the plan for Keen was to have her own film after her breakout role in Logan, the young actress explains:
“It was very much a reality that then fell through. There were talks about making a script. I had heard it was a [película] X-23. I don't know how much of what I'm saying is true because I was 11, but this is what I had heard through the grapevine.”
The new installment of the franchise Deadpoolbrings together on the big screen Ryan Reynolds y Hugh Jackman as Deadpool and Wolverine for the first time since X-Men: Origins: Wolverine (2009). It also marks the official arrival of Deadpool and Wolverine to Marvel Studios' MCU.
This is the first installment of the saga to be released by the Walt Disney Company, following Disney's massive acquisition of Fox in 2019. This does not alter the R rating franchise feature.
In Deadpool & WolverineDeadpool enlists Wolverine's help to save his world. Reluctantly, the mutants must join forces.
“When Wade is yanked from his universe by the Time Variance Authority, the watchdogs of the multiverse introduced in Loki, he embarks on a mission through multiple alternate dimensions that brings him together with a version of Jackman’s Wolverine from a parallel reality.”
The sequel also features the returns of Morena Baccarin (Deadpool, Deadpool 2), Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool, Deadpool 2), Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2), Leslie Uggams (Deadpool, Deadpool 2), Karan Soni (Deadpool, Deadpool 2), and the return of Jennifer Garner as Elektra, a character she played in Daredevil (2003) and for the last time in the 2005 solo spinoff. The first installment followed the antihero seeking revenge against Ajax (Ed Skrein), the man who turned him into a mutant and left him disfigured.
