We are two weeks away from the theatrical release of Smile 2the long-awaited sequel to the biggest horror hit of 2022, Smile.
Thus, Paramount Pictures continues to prepare the audience with two new official posters that play with the premise of the chilling smile that indicates a tragic and imminent death.
The posters, available at the end of this note, promote the functions in formats Dolby Cinema y 4DX. In one of them the focus is on the worried face of the protagonist Naomi Scott (Aladdin, Charlie’s Angels), while the other focuses on the terrifying smile on the face of Ray Nicholson (Promising Young Woman, Licorice Pizza), with details of his character without being revealed at the moment.
If his smile sounds familiar to that of Jack Nicholson's character in the classic The Shiningit's because Ray is his son and they share an undeniable resemblance.
The sequel, which has the return of the writer and director Park Finnstars Scott as Skye Riley, a pop star who will soon be dragged to hell after visiting her friend Lewis's apartment (Lukas Gage of The White Lotus, Road House), who smiled at him in a creepy way before taking his own life. Skye is stalked by a demonic identity after witnessing her friend's suicide, now passing the curse on to her.

Smile It marked Finn's debut as a feature film writer-director. Previously he wrote and directed the short films The Hidebehind (2018), y Laura Hasn’t Slept (2020), the latter was precisely the inspiration to create Smile (here you can see the short film).
Finn subsequently signed a multi-year first-look deal with Paramount, with the sequel one of the priorities. Parker will script, produce and direct projects in the horror genre through this agreement with the studio. This agreement does not include the recently announced remake of Possession that the filmmaker will do with Robert Pattinson, although Paramount is in the bidding to acquire his rights along with other major Hollywood studios.
