In recent weeks it was announced that the acclaimed HBO series, Euphoriawill finally begin filming for season 3 in early 2025, with the return of all the stars of the cast, something that has everyone very happy. Eric Dane.
The actor told Variety that he is excited about the return to production of the highly anticipated third season, and told the outlet that HBO is giving them the freedom to do whatever they want:
“I was optimistic that it was going to come back, so I’m really happy. I know there’s a huge appetite for it in the market. There’s a huge audience and I love making it. I love the people I work with. I love working with Sam LevinsonI'm having a great time. HBO supports us and allows us to do what we want.”
Dane plays Cal Jacobs, father of the character in charge of Jacob ElordiThe actor is keeping plot details for season three under wraps, but he's confident his character won't be going to jail, not after the expected time jump:
“The first thing I said to him [el showrunner] Sam when we finished season two was, 'I don't want to be behind bars.' So I'm almost 100 percent sure I'm not behind bars… Whatever else comes next is fine with me.”
Levinson previously said that the third season will be a “film noir” centered on the character of ZendayaRue, as she “explores what it means to be a principled individual in a corrupt world.” Zendaya is also set to direct a season 3 episode.
Euphoria has been out of circulation since the conclusion of the second season in February 2022.
The third season will not feature the return of two important members: Barbie Ferreira like Kat, after the actress announced her departure from the show in August 2022, and Angus Cloudwho played Fez, and who passed away in 2023.
