Ingredients

  • 1 cup of ready-made couscous

  • 1/2 cup cassava flour

  • 2 tablespoons butter or oil

  • 1 small onion chopped

  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper to taste

  • Chopped green chili to taste (optional)

Directions

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter or heat the oil over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes transparent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes, until aromatic.
  • Add the ready-made couscous to the pan and mix well with the onion and garlic.
  • Gradually add the cassava flour, stirring constantly to combine well.
  • Continue cooking and stirring until the crumbles are golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Add chopped green chilli, if desired, for an extra touch of freshness.
  • Remove from heat and serve hot as an accompaniment to meat, poultry or fish.
