El thriller Blink Twicetitled Blink twice in our market, which marks the directorial debut of the actress Zoë Kravitzcontinues to prepare the audience for its theatrical release.
The latest in the marketing campaign of Amazon MGM Studios y Warner Bros. of the originally titled as Pussy Islandis a featurette that offers a look behind the scenes.
The plot follows Frida (Naomie Ackie) y Jess (Alia Shawkat), while being enchanted by tech billionaire Slater King (Channing Tatum) and lured to their private island for a weekend getaway. What begins as an exciting vacation soon turns into a reality-altering nightmare and the women soon discover they must escape if they want to live.
Tatum and Kravitz explain behind the scenes:
“This movie has so many elements of surprise,” say Tatum “At the beginning, the trip is fun, you feel like you are there and you know everyone,” responde Kravitz. “But then reality hits you,” the actor follows. “It’s like wow, what the hell did I just see?”concludes the debut director.

SYNOPSIS:
Frida is a young waitress in Los Angeles who has her eyes set on tech mogul Slater King. When she manages to get into an intimate meeting on his private island, Frida senses there's more going on than meets the eye.
The script was co-written by Kravitz y ET Fig Treewith whom Kravitz worked on the script for the series starring Kravitz, High Fidelity.
Other cast members include Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense), Adria Arjona (Hit Man), Geena Davis (A League of Their Own), Simon Rex (Red Rocket), Christian Slater (The Spiderwick Chronicles), Liz Caribel (God’s Time), y Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks, Fallout).
The feature film is produced by Kravitz, Buce Cohen, Garret Levitz and Tiffany Persons, with executive producers Jordan Harkins and Stacy Perskie.
Amazon MGM Studios is on a successful trend with theatrical releases. Late last year they brought to the big screen Saltburn y American Fiction –the latter winner of the Oscar for best original screenplay– and this year they already launched The Beekeperwhich grossed more than $150 million at the global box office. In addition to Blink Twicehis upcoming film releases include the sports romance drama, Challengers by Luca Guadagnino, starring Zendaya, and the comedy My Old Assstarring Aubrey Plaza and produced by Margot Robbie, which the studio acquired at Sundance 2024.
Blink Twice it will be Released in theaters on August 23, 2024 by Amazon MGM Studios in the United States, and by Warner Bros. in the rest of the world.
