The film starring Leo Edit e Fogliati pilar Explore the world of our inner voices in a light and fun way, those that guide us and confuse us in the most important moments as the first appointment.

With a stellar cast and a brilliant idea, the film brings to the big screen the insecurities, desires and contradictions that each of us faces in everyday life.

Plot madly with Edoardo Leo and Palar Fogliati

Piero (Edoardo Leo) and Lara (Pilar Fogliati) meet for their first appointment for dinner in her apartment, hoping can be the starting point of something special. But how do you behave to make good impression? Be authentic or try to embody the ideal of the other? Common questions, but with a particularity: to suggest, confuse and guide the protagonists are the multiple personalities who live in their mind.

For Lara, we find the decisive Alfa (Claudia Pandolfi)the energetic trilli (Emanuela Fanelli)the creative splinter (Maria Chiara Giannetta) and the very romantic Juliet (Vittoria Puccini). For Piero, however, there are the ardent Eros (Claudio Santamaria)the reflective professor (Marco Giallini)the carefree Valium (Rocco Papaleo) and the romantic Romeo (Maurizio Lastrico). Everyone tries to assert their own voice, into a vortex of emotions and jokes that transform a simple dinner at home on a hilarious and deep journey between desires and insecurities.

Firmly review: an “Inside Out” for adults

Paolo Genovese, with Madlyresumed an idea he had already experienced years ago in a Rai spot, long before Inside Out conquered the public when the basic idea was that every Rai subscriber had multiple facets, and the challenge was to satisfy all his needs. In the spot, the protagonist was confronted with his own inner voices, each with different opinions and desires. On this thought, it was born madly that, unlike Inside Out that focuses on emotions, it focuses on personalities.

The result is a brilliant and original comedy, which transports the audience to a fun and introspective psychological game. The minimalist setting lends itself perfectly to narration, with a dynamic assembly that supports the rhythm of the story. Although the film starts quietly, thanks to a well -oiled mechanism of exchanges of jokes and paradoxical situations, it manages to involve the viewer in a crescendo of empathy and comedy until we find ourselves asking what personality we let our lives take over.

The strength of the film certainly lies in the characterization of inner voices, each with an impeccable interpretation by the choral cast. Between moments of pure fun and thin reflections, a story emerges that mixes the theater of the mind with the reality of relationships, bringing to light the fragility and contradictions of each of us. Although not a revolutionary idea, the film manages to renew the theme thanks to a lively script and a direction that knows how to enhance the chorality of the actors.

Between memorable scenes and the skill of a stellar cast, the ending is slightly confused but overall Madly It stands out as a well -orchestrated comedy, capable of making smiling and reflecting, offering the public a light but not trivial experience.

Absolutely recommended.
