Nicole Kidman She keeps busy with both film and television projects.
His next film is a collaboration with the independent film studio, A24. This is the psychosexual erotic thriller, Babygirlfrom the screenwriter and director Halina Reijnbest known for having made the horror comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies.
Kidman co-stars in the film alongside Harris Dickinson (The Iron Claw, Triangle of Sadness).
The plot centers on a successful CEO (Kidman) who begins an illicit affair with her much younger intern (Dickinson). The film was first announced in November 2023.
Antonio Banderas (Puss in Boots, Uncharted), Jean Reno (Lift, Léon), y Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me) complete the main cast.
Kidman's most recent TV projects include the series Lioness, Expats, Nine Perfect Strangersand the next one to be released The Perfect Couple. On the cinema side he has made Being the Ricardos –for which she was nominated for an Oscar– The Northman, Aquaman and the Lost Kindgomand the recently released rom-com on Netflix, A Family Affair.
This week it was announced that Babygirl will have its world premiere at the 2024 Venice Film Festival, as an official selection in competition, alongside films such as Joker: Madness for Two, the biopic Maria, Queer, y The Room Next Dooramong others. The festival will take place from August 28 to September 7.
David Hinojosa and Reijn are producing the feature film.
A24 will premiere Babygirl in theaters December 20, 2024.
