Netflix revealed a behind-the-scenes video of season 5 of Stranger Thingsalso called Stranger Things 5which gives us a glimpse of the returning cast, as well as three new members.
With the behind the scenes we see the ‘making of’ from the final season of the popular series, which is now halfway through filming. Viewers are then taken backstage to see what the cast and crew have been preparing. There are familiar faces, such as Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Joe Keery, Winona Ryderthe new cast member, Linda Hamilton (Terminator), among others, and some new additions that had not been announced until now, such as Nell Fisher (Evil Dead Rise), Jake Connellyy Alex Breaux (Waco: The Aftermath).
Netflix has not set a release date for Stranger Things 5however it is believed that all or most of the episodes could premiere on the streamer on the same day, starting with “Chapter One: The Crawl”.
It will be a shorter season than the previous one.
It was previously reported that for the final season's story, the character of Will Byers (Schnapp) will become the center of the plot, perhaps thus closing the cycle that started it all. After all, it was the disappearance of little Will that unleashed chaos in Hawkins in the first season.
In the fourth season, Will regained some of the spotlight, guiding the story toward its imminent conclusion.
Los Duffer Brotherscreators, executive producers and showrunners, said: “Will returns to take center stage in the 5. It is“The emotional arc for him is what we feel will hopefully tie the whole series together. Will is used to being the young man, the introvert, the one who’s being sheltered. So part of his journey, it’s not just sexuality, it’s Will becoming a young man.”
Dan Trachtenberg (Prey, 10 Cloverfield Lane), will head to the Upside Down as director of one of the episodes.
