A flavor-packed flank steak marinade that delivers big umami energy. Salty, tangy, garlicky, and just sweet enough, it transforms a simple cut of beef into a crave-worthy main dish for grilling, broiling, or pan-searing.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup soy sauce

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime or lemon juice

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

  • In a bowl or jar, whisk together all ingredients until fully combined.
  • Place flank steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish.
  • Pour marinade over the steak, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  • Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (up to 12 hours for deeper flavor).
  • Remove steak from marinade and cook as desired (grill, broil, or sear).
  • Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
