Ingredients

  • 3 medium carrots, peeled and chopped

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1/2 cup chocolate powder

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1/4 cup of milk

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. 
    Grease a medium pan with margarine and wheat flour.
  • In a blender, place the chopped carrots, eggs, oil and sugar.
  • Beat well until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, sift the wheat flour.
  • Pour the liquid mixture from the blender into the bowl with the sifted wheat flour.
  • Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • Add the baking powder to the dough and mix gently.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • While the cake is baking, prepare the frosting.
  • In a pan, mix the chocolate powder, sugar, milk and butter.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until you reach a creamy consistency.
  • Once the cake is baked and still hot, pour the frosting over it.
  • Let the cake cool slightly before cutting into pieces and serving.
