FX and Noah Hawley's 'ALIEN' series wraps filming

FX has the prequel series underway about Alienof Noah Hawley (Legion, Fargo) as showrunner, and Ridley Scottdirector of the original installment, and the prequels Prometheus y Alien: Covenantas executive producer.

The latest news confirms that filming wrapped this week. Production was underway in Thailand earlier this year, after having paused filming in the summer of 2023 in the wake of the Hollywood strikes.

The protagonist of the series, Sydney Chandler (Don’t Worry Darling, Sugar), was in charge of announcing the end of filming with a post on Instagram, which you can find at the end of this note.

Chandler stars in the series as Wendy, who is said to be “a hybrid, a metahuman who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult.”

The prequel series will be the first project in the franchise set on Earth and will take place towards the end of this century – it is estimated that the date will be a few years before Prometheus y thirty years before the film Alien Scott's original– it has been reported that will address and explore the rise of the infamous Weyland-Yutani Corporation and the race between corporations to create android life.

FX boss John Landgraf He described the series as a “great imaginative reinvention” of the franchise. Alien and compared it to Hawley's work, the FX hit, Fargo. He also confirmed that the show is “designed to be an ongoing series.”
