Ingredients

  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

  • 1 cup mayonnaise (can be homemade or purchased ready-made)

  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)

Directions

  • Start by finely chopping the garlic cloves. You can juice them too if you prefer a milder flavor.
  • In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice and olive oil (if using).
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Keep in mind that mayonnaise may already contain salt, so taste before adding more.
  • Stir all ingredients well until they are completely combined.
  • Taste the mayonnaise and adjust seasonings as needed. Add more lemon juice, salt or pepper, depending on your personal taste.
  • Cover with mayonnaise and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to blend and the garlic to infuse the mayonnaise.
