On the night of January 10-11 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly HillsCalifornia held the 80th edition of the Golden Globesthe awards that open the film season and which very often represent a certainty in view of the future Oscar.
The official presenter of the ceremony was Jerrod Carmichaelbut as previously announced by Hollywood Foreign Press Association great personalities of the show took turns on stage during the evening. From Quentin Tarantino ad Ana de Armasand then again Billy Porter, Ana Gasteyer, Colman Domingo and Tracy Morgan.
Among the special awards, the Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Eddie Murphy; important signal given the controversies of previous years which saw the Hollywood Foreign Press Association at the center of discussions on racism and lack of inclusiveness. While the TV Lifetime Achievement Award went to Ryan Murphy (director, among others, by American Horror Story).
