500g ground meat (can be beef, pork or a mix)
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Parsley and chives to taste, chopped
200g sliced ​​ham
200g sliced ​​mozzarella cheese
Oregano to taste
Aluminum paper
Olive oil for drizzling
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, parsley, chives, salt and pepper. Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
- Place the ground beef on a flat surface, forming a rectangle approximately 1 cm thick.
- Arrange the slices of ham and cheese over the ground meat, leaving a free edge at the ends.
- Sprinkle the oregano over the ham and cheese.
- Carefully begin to roll the ground meat into a swiss roll. Use aluminum foil to help form the roulade.
- Place the roulade on a baking tray greased with olive oil.
- Drizzle the top of the roulade with a little more olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40-50 minutes, or until the meat is fully cooked.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
