'Hey Bear' – Mia Goth, Dan Stevens and Zach Galifianakis to star in revenge comedy

HanWay Films is announcing the film Hey Bearwith a very interesting premise, cast and behind-the-scenes crew.

According to reports from Variety, the daring revenge comedy will be directed by Jonathan Kriselthe co-creator of Portlandia, marking his feature film directorial debut. Krisel will direct the script written by the Emmy winner, Carrie Kemper (Beef). Alix Madigan (Winter’s Bone) will be the producer.

Now, let's take a look at the cast, which will be led by Mia Goth (Frankenstein), Dan Stevens (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire) y Zach Galifianakis (trilogy The Hangover).

Hey Bear It is presented as a story of “awakening of anger” (coming of rage) with irreverent humorabout a woman seeking revenge against the bear that ate her husband.

The film will be presented to buyers at the American Film Market (AMF); HanWay Films will handle international sales and WME Independent and UTA Independent Film Group will handle US sales.

“Goth plays Claire, who has always lived her life based on other people's expectations. Married to Gregory (Stevens), she agrees to his desire to dedicate her life to studying bears in Glacier National Park, even if it means spending months away from him. During one of her visits, a grizzly bear, nicknamed “Mr. Grumpy” by Gregory, fatally attacks him. After being informed by park rangers that Mr. Grumpy had been euthanized, Claire discovers that she is simply killing him. They have moved to another national park and are living a full life. The usually docile Claire decides to take revenge on the bear.

To assassinate Mr. Gru{on, she teams up with the somewhat socially awkward park ranger Putt (Galifianakis), but Putt has his own ulterior motives for accompanying her. With death and truth lurking around every corner, Claire's desperate mission, driven by grief, takes her on an inspiring journey of empowerment and self-discovery.. Set in a stunning natural landscape, This story of “awakening of anger” is a roller coaster of black humor full of originality and surprises”.
