Joy takes over the premiere box office Intensely 2 (Inside Out 2) exceeding projection expectations with a phenomenal launch.

Disney and Pixar's animated sequel had a domestic box office (US) of $155 million dollarssurpassing the box office Dune: Part Two ($82.5 mdd) y Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire ($80 million) to become the biggest premiere of 2024. It is also Pixar's second best release behind Incredibles 2 ($182 million), and the first film since Barbie (July 2023) to debut above $100 million.

In it international market accumulated $140 million dollarssurpassing a Frozen 2 ($135 mdd) as the biggest animated premiere of all time in the international box office. In Latin America it became the second biggest premiere of all time behind Avengers: Engdame (2019).

The global premiere box office is $295 million dollarsgiving it one more achievement: the best-opening animated film of all time.

Its budget was $200 million dollars.

The animated sequel now co-written and directed by Kelsey Mann, arrives almost 10 years after the release of the original installment that addressed the inner feelings, Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Fear (Bill Hader), in one little girl named Riley. The plot of the sequel once again focuses on Riley (now voiced by Kensington Tallman) now as a teenager who discovers new emotions of Anxiety (Maya Hawke), Envy (Ayo Edebiri), Shame (Paul Walter Hauser) and Nostalgia (June Squibb), as she leaves for summer camp.
