Just a week ago we reported that Inside Out 2 became the highest-grossing animated film of all time at the global box office, and it's time to talk about a new record.

The hit has just entered the TOP 10 HIGHEST-GROSSING FILMS OF ALL TIME AT GLOBAL BOX OFFICE with $1.524 billion dollarssurpassing the global total of The Avengers ($1,521 mdd) y Furious 7 ($1.515 billion) and placed at number ten.

Its domestic box office – as of Wednesday – is $618.8 million dollars. It has grossed $905.1 million dollars internationally. In Mexico it has already accumulated more than $100 million dollars and it is the highest-grossing film in the history of our country.

Its top 10 international markets are: Mexico ($100.5 million), Brazil ($77.3m), UK ($64.9m), South Korea ($58.2m), France ($55.6m), Italy ($47.1m), China ($45.9m), Germany ($44.7m), Spain ($44.4m), and Australia ($35.1m).

Other previously broken records include becoming the first film of the year 2024 to reach $1 billion in global box office; the best opening of the year surpassing Dune: Part Two; the first film since the release of Barbie in July 2023 to debut with a box office total of over $100 million at the domestic box office; the highest-grossing film of 2024 in both the United States and globally.

Its budget was $200 million dollars.

The sequel co-written and directed by Kelsey Mannarrives almost 10 years after the release of the original installment that dealt with the inner feelings – Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Fear (Bill Hader) – of a little girl named Riley. The sequel's plot once again focuses on Riley (now voiced by Kensington Tallman) now as a teenager who discovers new emotions of Anxiety (Maya Hawke), Envy (Ayo Edebiri), Shame (Paul Walter Hauser) and Longing (June Squibb), as she heads off to summer camp.
