The Asian team featured the opposite Ishikawa as the main weapon of the attack. The player, responsible for the point of the Japanese classification, with an ACE in Tie-Break, scored 19 points. Even with the defeat, Turkey had the highest scorer of the game: the opposite Vargas, who had 23 hits.

How was the game

1º set

Turkey started the game in front, making the first two points, but soon Japan fitted the loot, tied and opened four points advantage, forcing Turkey's coach to ask for time early in the partial. The Turkish team bet on triggering Vargas, their main scorer, but, without efficiency in attack, could not diminish the difference in the score.

In addition to failing the conclusion of the attacks, Turkey also had problems with the reception, giving Japan two chances to score. On the other side of the court, Japan showed play and defensive consistency to manage the advantage on the scoreboard. The Turkish pressed in the final stretch, with Vargas in the withdrawal, but Japan managed to close the partial for 25 to 21.

2º set

Back to the second set, Turkey coach, Italian Daniele Santarelli, took Karakurt by court and called Baladin to adjust the pass line. The change worked and the team opened 4-1 on the scoreboard, forcing Japan to ask for time. The Asian team recovered in the game, with the defense being prominent, and the partial was more balanced.

Adjusted, Turkey grew in the block and managed to score six points in a row, opening 17-10. Coach Ferhat Akbas ordered his second half, but the stop was not able to stop Turkey's momentum, which had nine points of advantage and closed the partial 25-16.

3º set

In the third set, the two teams seemed to finally have their volleyball fitted, which translated into the score: Japan has led since the start of the match, but Turkey did not let the opponents open a lot of distance, with the efficiency in the blockade, the team's best foundation in the match.

Even without imposing a large advantage over the partial, Japan grew at the end of the third set and closed the bill 25-20, precisely with a block point, the Turkish's main weapon.

4º set

The fourth set kept the same pace as the previous partial, with the teams exchanging points from the beginning. Once again, Turkey bet on Vargas's block and attack to lead the scoring and stay alive in the fight for a place in the VNL semifinal. The team closed the partial 25 to 22, drawing the match again.

5º set

At the beginning of the fifth set, an unusual bid disturbed Turkey's sequence, which led the scoring 3-1. After attack diverted out of the Japanese block, the Turkish coaching staff tried to ask for the challenge, but had passed the eight -second regulatory time, and the team ended up taking yellow card. Following, Japan tied in the block and sought the turn, putting 6 to 2 on the scoreboard.

From the moment it took the lead in Tie-Break, Japan began to control the match, forcing the opponents' errors and opening five points of advantage. Santarelli drew Vargas, the game's main scorer, further complicating the Turkish attack. With an ACE of the opposite Ishikawa, Japan closed the partial 15-9 and secured the classification.
