Jessica Rothe is preparing to star in another horror project, after leading the slasher franchise Happy Death Day.
His next genre film project is Affectiona dark horror and science fiction film that will mark the debut of BT Meza as a screenwriter and director.
Along with Rothe, they signed Joseph Cross (Lincoln) y Julianna Layne (Prodigal Son) as co-stars, Deadline reports.
“The film follows Ellie (Rothe), who is trapped in a cyclical nightmare. She deals with a condition that erratically resets her memory, leaving her unable to remember her husband (Cross) or daughter (Julianna Layne). Each reset leaves her disoriented and haunted by vivid flashbacks of a life she never lived.”
Rothe's other previous projects include La La Land, Boy Kills World, Valley Girl, Forever My Girl, and series like Utopia y Gaslight. Cross for his part has participated in Licorice Pizza, Mank, Lincoln, Devotion y Milkand series like Big Little Lies y Mindhunter.
The feature film is a Superconductive production in association with Minutehand Pictures and Circa 1888.
Producers are Meza, Austin Walk, Bay Dariz, and JP Ouellette. Executive producers are Christian Henderson and Christy Walker.
The film is currently in pre-production.
