Next week the contemporary western will be released in cinemas Eddingtonthe most recent film proposal of the screenwriter and director Ari Aster (Heredary, Midsummer), and its fourth association with the independent film study A24.
Aster has carried out all its previous projects, the acclaimed horror tapes, Hereditary (2018) y Midsummer (2019), and tragicomedy Beau is Afraid (2023).
The The film's plot takes place in 2020, having as a context the pandemic for the COVID-19with the local Sheriff AntimasCarillas, Joe (Joaquin Phoenix) of the fictitious town, Eddington, New Mexico, facing the mayor of the town, Ted (Pedro Pascal), Defender of the guidelines on COVID-19, who also seeks re-election.
They are two to whom we see having a face to face in a new promo, in which the differences between the positions of both are discussed and highlighted.
Joe decides to appear against the mayor of the town, Ted.
