The next project of Christopher Nolan will adapt the epic poem The Odissey of Homer, added another talent to its stellar cast.

Bernthal joins a luxury cast made up of Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson y Charlize Theron.

Damon, Holland, Hathaway and Pattinson are said to play the lead roles, with Nyong'o and Zendaya playing supporting roles. No details were shared about Bernthal's role.

Universal Pictures revealed last December that until then Nolan's mysterious project will adapt The Odyssey of Homer.

Homer's ancient Greek poem, composed around the 13th century BC, tells the story of Odysseus, king of Ithaca, and his perilous journey home after the Trojan War, exploring themes of heroism, loyalty, cunning and fighting. against the divine will. The story includes iconic episodes such as his encounters with the cyclops Polyphemus, the mermaids and the witch goddess Circe, which culminate with his reunion with his wife, Penelope.

In 1997, Andrei Konchalovsky adapted it into a miniseries with Armand Assante in the lead role. Filming is scheduled to start in February of this year.

The film's release will include IMAX format. IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond told Variety that the filmmaker will experiment with “new IMAX technology,” and “equipment never used before.”

Nolan wrote the script and will direct the feature film that will be distributed by Universal Pictures, as happened with the acclaimed Oppenheimer.

Nolan will produce alongside his associate and wife, Emma Thomasfor their production company, Syncopy.
