Take a look at the trailer at the end of the note.

As a curious factthe series was filmed in Los Angeles at the same location as the original 1989 film, the back set of Universal Studios Hollywood.

Guest stars include Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense), RJ Cyler (Power Rangers), Justin Kirk (Weeds), Kyrie McAlpin (Will Trent), Danielle Kennedy (Narcos), y Randy Oglesby (Star Trek: Enterprise).

Celeste Hughey (Dead to Me, Palm Royale) is the creator, showrunner, screenwriter and executive producer of the series; Rachel Shukert (The Handmaid’s Tale) is another of the screenwriters. Nzingha Stewart (Daisy Jones & The Six) is the director.

Dana Olsen, screenwriter of the original film, is co-executive producer.

UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, produces.

the movie The ‘Burbs (SOS Neighbors on the attackby its official title for Latin America) develops its plot in a typical American suburban neighborhood, where we meet Ray Peterson (Tom Hanks), a stressed-out man who is convinced that his new neighbors, the strange Klopeks, are hiding something in his house, particularly in his basement. Being the next-door neighbor, Ray hears noises coming from the place and sees strange things that have him obsessed with proving his paranoid theory that the family belongs to a murder cult. His wife Carol (Carrie Fisher), doesn't believe him, so Ray goes to his neighbors Mark Rumsfield (Bruce Dern) y Art Weingartner (Rick Ducomunn). The three of them will devise a plan to discover what is hidden behind the mysterious new neighbors.

The black comedy directed by Joe Dante (Gremlins) is a classic of eighties cinema that did not have critics or the box office in its favor when it was released. It was over time that he began to receive credit until he reached the cult classic status.

The richness of the film comes from its characters. The chemistry between everyone is palpable, convincing and very funny. Their interactions are what make the film a gem of eighties cinema.

We know that it is difficult to replicate, but we hope that the series manages to capture the magic of the cult classic and give us good moments.

Premieres on Peacock, February 8, 2026.
