Kit Sebastian «Bul Bul Bul» – It's been a very long time since I introduced a Turkish band here in the blog (She Past Away was that) – but now the almighty YouTube algorithm has suggested something really wonderful to me again these days, namely the duo Kit Sebastian, who lives in London, France and Turkey and sings in Turkish. The style of music is quite 60's psychedelica-like, with pop elements, and on their very successful, very eclectic new album “New Internationale” there's even a lot of jazz and other things (it reminds me quite a bit of Japanese acts in this mix of styles). The current single is great, with some winks and a poppy melody.
aiise «jellyfish» (kurage = jellyfish) – while I just mentioned Japan – in the last few months I've gotten to know so much great music from there that I actually have to post something every day to keep up. Today I want to recommend a small indie band to you whose sound is somewhat reminiscent of shoegaze, but sounds a bit louder.
