Universal Pictures announced a change in the cast of the expected following project of Christopher Nolan, The Odisseywhich will adapt Homer's epic poem.
According to Deadline reports, Cosmo Jarvis (Shōgun, Warfare) of will not be part of the cast of the epic of Nolan, and His place will be taken by Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus, Upgrade).
An agenda conflict forced Jarvis to leave the project shortly before starting filming. Jarvis prepares to star in the biopic Young Stalin.

Based on the epic poem, the story follows Odysseus (played by Damon), king of Itaca, on his dangerous trip back home after the Trojan War. During his journey, the protagonist faces the Cyclops Polyphemus, the sirens, the Nymph Calipso and the goddess witch Circe in the ocean treacherous who separate him from his native island and his wife Penelope, who undoes a bridal courtship that weaves every night in case one of the suitors who have taken over his home ends up marrying her if her husband does not return to her. His memory is also guarded by his son Telemachus (played by Holland in the film). History also includes gods such as Athena, Poseidon and Zeus.
The Odyssey It was previously adapted in the Italian film Ulysses by director Mario Camerini and the protagonist Kirk Douglas. In 1997, Andrei Konchalovsky adapted it in Miniseries format with Armand Assante in the main role. The most recent adaptation is the newly released film in cinemas The Return by Uberto Pasolini, with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche in leading roles.
The release of the film will include IMAX format. IMAX CEO, Richard Gelfond, told Variety that the filmmaker will experience with “New IMAX technology,” and “Team never used before.”
Nolan wrote the script and direct the feature film that will be distributed by Universal Pictures, as happened with the acclaimed Oppenheimer.
Nolan will produce with his associate and wife, Emma Thomasfor the production company of both, Syncopy.
