The sequel features the returns of Allison Williams y Violet McGraw resuming leading roles, Gerard Johnstone as director, Akela Cooper as a screenwriter, James Wan as a producer.
In the first look shared by Vanity Fair, we see McGraw alongside Adrien Morot, the lead puppeteer in charge of the prop robot that helps bring M3GAN to life.

The rest of the cast is made up Timm Sharp (Apples Never Fall, Based on a True Story), Aristotle Atheri (Silicon Valley, Hacks), y Jemaine Clement (What We Do in the Shadows).
The plot of the first installment, M3GAN, centers on Gemma (Williams), who takes charge of caring for her 8-year-old niece, Cady (McGraw), after the girl is orphaned. Gemma, a robotics engineer for a large toy company, decides to take home the M3GAN prototype she has been working on. The android doll forms bonds with Cady with terrifying consequences.
The horror film racked up $181 million at the global box office, off a budget of $12 million, and received positive reviews on all fronts.
Universal Pictures releases M3GAN 2.0 in theaters on June 27, 2025.
