Last Friday, July 12, NEON premiered in theaters in the United States, the horror thriller Longlegs from the screenwriter and director Osgood Perkins (The Blackcoat’s Daughter).
After breaking several box office records upon its release, NEON is now continuing to promote the film. This time, they are showing a couple of images of the protagonist Nice Monroe behind the scenes.

Monroe y Nicolas Cage star in the horror thriller, she as FBI agent Lee Harker, who is on the trail of the serial killer nicknamed Longlegs, played by Cage.
The actors have been involved in a number of audience-favorite horror film projects. Monroe has starred in It Follows –which has the sequel underway They Follow–, The Guest, Significant Otherand more recently, Watcher. Cage, for his part, is remembered for Renfield, Pig, y Mandy.
One of the project descriptions tells us that it is “in the line of classic Hollywood psychological thrillers.” On the other hand, critics rate it as “the best horror movie about serial killers since The Silence of the Lambs.” With those descriptions, it's hard not to have high expectations for this project.
In Mexico and the rest of Latin America we have to wait to August 29 for the premiere of Longlegs: Soul Collectorwhere it will be distributed by Diamond Films.
SYNOPSIS:
“FBI Agent Lee Harker (Monroe) is assigned to a serial killer case that takes unexpected turns, revealing evidence of the occult. Harker discovers a personal connection to the killer and must stop him before he strikes again.”
Alicia Witt (Urban Legend, I Care a Lot), Blair Underwood (Origin, American Crime Story), Vanessa Walsh (Murdaugh Murders: The Movie) y Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) complete the cast.
The film won the R rating by the MPA for: “Bloody violence, disturbing images and some language.”
The producers are Cage with his production company Saturn Films, Dan Kagan, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Dave Caplan, and Chris Ferguson.
