The classic psychological thriller of the 90s, The hand that rocks the cradlewill release a remake very soon.
Looking ahead to its premiere in a week in Hulu y Disney Plusa new official poster of the internationally known as The Hand That Rocks the Cradlefocused on its two protagonists, Maika Monroe (Longlegs, It Follows) as babysitter Polly Murphy, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane, Final Destination 3) as Caitlin Morales.
In the 20th Century Studios project, we follow Caitlin, an upscale suburban mom who, along with her husband, enlists the services of a new nanny, the seemingly sweet Polly, to care for the couple's baby. But Polly's true motives have very little to do with singing lullabies.
By the way, its premiere in the United States will be in a week (October 22), while it will arrive in Latin America on the streamer in November.
The new version is directed by the Mexican filmmaker Michelle Garza Cervera (Huesera, Mexico Bárbaro II), with a script written by Micah Bloomberg (Homecoming, Sanctuary).
Raul Castillo (Smile 2, Class of ’09), Martin Starr (Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities), Mileiah Vega (American Horror Stories) y Shannon Cochran (Ballard), complete the main cast.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
“A wealthy mother hires Polly Murphy as a babysitter, but soon discovers that this woman is not who she says she is.”
The original film follows Rebecca De Mornay as “a twisted widow who, distraught at having lost her own baby, enters a family as a nanny, with the ultimate goal of staying with the children and husband.” Annabella Sciorra played the mother.
Director Garza Cervera previously explained that Although it is a remake of the 1992 film, this is not a “carbon copy”and promises many “shocking moments.” Likewise, one of the first changes is the setting. The plot is moves from Seattle to Los Angeles. Garza Cervera also says that the Characters have different and more complex backstories.

The feature film is produced by Ted Field of Radar Pictures, and Michael Schaefer and Mike Larocca of Department M, with Michael Napoliello, Maria Frisk, and Seth William Meier serving as executive producers.
