Ingredients
2 ripe mangoes, peeled and cut into pieces
1 can of condensed milk
1 can of whey-free cream
1 envelope of unflavored colorless gelatin
1/4 cup water (to hydrate the gelatin)
Juice of 1 lemon (optional, to enhance the flavor)
Chopped mango or lemon zest for garnish (optional)
Directions
- In a small bowl, place the water and sprinkle the gelatin over it.
Let it sit for a few minutes to hydrate. - In a blender, place the mango pieces and blend until you obtain a homogeneous puree.
If desired, strain to remove unwanted fibers. - Place the hydrated gelatin in a water bath or microwave for a few seconds, just enough to dissolve it completely.
Do not let it boil. - In a blender, add the mango puree, condensed milk, cream and lemon juice (if using).
Mix until you get a smooth mixture. - Add the dissolved gelatin to the mixture and beat again to ensure it is well incorporated.
- Pour the mixture into individual glasses or a large container, depending on how you want to serve it.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the mousse is firm.
- Before serving, garnish with mango pieces or lemon zest, if desired.
- Serve the mango mousse chilled and enjoy!
