The cast of the fourth season of the series The Morning Show of Apple TV+ is adding the talent of Oscar winner, Marion Cotillard, in an important arc along T4. Cotillard will play Celine Dumont, a savvy operator from a historic European family, according to reports from Deadline.

Cotillard joins the return of the protagonists Jennifer Aniston y Reese Witherspoonand that of Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Jon Hamm y Nicole Beharie.

The series revolves around the world of morning television shows and the New York media. In the first seasons, Alex (Aniston) and Bradley (Witherspoon), offered viewers a heartbreaking takedown of the morning news show, and UBA, the broadcast network for which they work, exposing a work culture plagued by misogyny, toxicity and sexual misconduct.

Season 3 left the fate of the UBA once again up in the air after Alex manages to defeat Paul Marks (Hamm) by blocking the sale of the UBA to his technology company, Hyperion. But now, it looks like UBA will merge with another media company to keep the network afloat, which could mean layoffs and restructuring in Season 4.

The project is based in part on an original idea by Michael Ellenberg of Media Res, and in part, in the book written by Brian StelterCNN reporter, titled Top of the Morning.

The director Mimi Leader She is the executive producer with Witherspoon y AnistonEllenberg, and the showrunner Charlotte Stoudt. Media Res, Hello Sunshine, Candle Media and Echo Films are the production companies.

Cotillard's most recent projects include the drama Siblingthe musical drama Annetteand the movie coming out in the fall, Lee, by Ellen Kuras, co-starring Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Andrea Riseborough and Josh O'Connor. In 2008, Cotillard won the Oscar for best actress for her performance in La vie en rose.
