Michael B. Jordan is ready for his second project as a director.

After directing and starring Creed IIIJordan is set to reprise his duties as director and star of a new remake of The Thomas Crown Affairwith a house in Amazon MGM Studios. The same study supported the aforementioned third installment of Creed.

As with Creed III, Amazon MGM Studios plans to award The Thomas Crown Affair and traditional theatrical release worldwide (via Deadline).

According to media reports, The Thomas Crown Affair It's been a project that Jordan has had his eye on for a long time, with him even naming himself as the lead in 2016. This will be the third feature film to be produced by The Thomas Crown Affair.

To the saga Thomas Crown dates back to the original 1968 deliverydirected by Norman Jewison, starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo starred in the 1999 remake. The plot centers on a wealthy playboy who enjoys robbing (banks in the original, art in the remake) as a hobby, but meets his equal in an insurance investigator, and they fall in love.

In addition to directing and starring, Jordan will produce the film through his Outlier Society banner alongside Elizabeth Raposo. Outlier Society has a first-look film and overall television deal with Amazon MGM.

The next step is to find your co-star.

Drew Pearce (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Hobbs & Shaw, The Fall Guy) wrote the scriptThere was previously a draft written by Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson, based on the original film.

Plot details are being kept under wraps for now.

Patrick McCormick and Marc Toberoff will also serve as producers, with Alan Trustman, screenwriter of the 1968 original, serving as executive producer.

Jordan, on the other hand, will be seen in a mysterious Warner Bros. film project, which he is preparing with Ryan Coogler, which will hit the big screen on March 7, 2025.
