The home invasion Hush of Mike Flanaganhas everything ready for its first Digital release eight years after its premiere on Netflix.

Flanagan, Intrepid Pictures and Blumhouse have partnered with Shout! Studios To trow Hush in Digital format starting August 27It will be available for purchase and/or rent on all digital entertainment platforms in the United States and Canada (via Bloody Disgusting).

It is worth noting that in both of those markets, as well as in Mexico, Hush It is no longer available on Netflix or any other streaming platform. It remains to be seen whether the digital release will also take place in our market.

Flanagan teased the Digital release of Hush, titled Silence In our country:

Hush “Hush is one of the projects closest to my heart and I can’t think of a better home than Shout! I’m so glad that people can finally rent or buy the film digitally. I’ve always loved how Shout! Studios champions and treasures their titles, and I also can’t wait to see what’s next… Hush fans will have a lot to celebrate!”

The plot of Hush sigue a Maddie (Kate Siegel), a writer who moved to a house in the woods to obtain a quiet life to help her finish the last chapter of her latest book. However, in the place she once believed safe, she must fight for her life in silence when a masked killer (played by John Gallagher Jr.) appears in the window of your home.

The woman who seeks to survive is deaf and mute, a unique hook that is quite attractive for the narrative, and for capturing the audience.

The script was co-written by Siegel and Flanagan.

In Cine3, we include Hush in the list of The most notable indie horror films of 2016 where we said:

“Flanagan It gives the villain of the story an advantage over his prey as she tries again and again to figure out how to perceive his attacks. Hush draws a contrast with the director's previous horror feature, Oculus. While the latter focused on a haunted house that turned its victims' perception of the world into a mess, Hush mixes the above offering two different points of view that experience it at the same time. Maybe this year Flanagan be more recognized for the sequel Ouijabut Hush remains a clear example that its construction of terror and tension can be as effective in independent cinema as its transition to the major studios.”

Hush It is produced by Trevor Macy and Jason Blum.
