Warner Bros. revealed the first teaser trailer of the next installment of the DCU, Supergirlstarring Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon, Sirens) as Superman's cousin with alcohol problems.

Alcock debuted as Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl at the end of Superman (2025) by James Gunn, when he stumbles upon the Man of Steel's fortress of solitude.

In this first look, it seems like Kara would fit very well into the colorful and varied world of Guardians of the Galaxy from Gunn himself, making it clear that Kara is not an exact copy of Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman, as she has her own personal battles and makes it clear in the trailer by emphasizing: “He sees the good in every person, and I see the truth.”
