Moon in June «Summer Pop’97» – well, the summer… at least in the north it was pretty mixed for the most part, which is where sounds like this and a summery video like this song by the Japanese indie pop band Moon in June come in handy. The sound reminds me of Scandinavian twee acts like they used to be at home on the Labrador label. Very pretty, like the rest of the band’s songs.
The Hillbilly Moon Explosion «How Soon Is Now» – I had already introduced the Swiss rockabilly band in the blog at some point. Now they have a new cover version out and give the The Smiths classic a new “horror psyche guise” – cool!
